What Does Public Policy Awareness Hope To Accomplish?
Homeless Services are under-funded in the state of California. The majority of resources for organizations that provide services for the homeless comes from grants and aid from the state government, but there are no checks or balances to ensure that the funding meets the needs of our population.
We are working with individuals in the community who have experience in the field of homeless services, because their input is crucial to understanding public policy awareness that will accurately reflect the reality of homeless services. We are also working with academics, homeless persons, voters, civil rights groups and the police to further understand the issue.
